Jaxon
Our big tall strong boy was an amazing blessing to each person he came in contact with. His strength and determination and sweet, sweet spirit captured the hearts of many people. Just 5 days shy of his 2nd birthday the unimaginable happened that rocked our world as we knew it and changed our lives forever.
June 18, 2017, Father's Day, while getting ready for bed Jaxon started seizing for the first time. After being rushed to the hospital it was determined Jaxon had a brain tumor. The next few days were life changing. He celebrated his 2nd birthday in the hospital, then underwent brain surgery the following day. On June 24th we received the news no parent wants to hear: Jaxon was diagnosed with Metastatic AT/RT and plans were immediately made to transfer to St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital for treatment. July 5th we began our journey to Memphis, TN and started aggressive treatment. For 5 months Jaxon put up a fierce courageous fight but lost his battle to AT/RT on November 14th, 2017 surrounded by family.
To carry on the amazing strength Jaxon had on his journey, our family and friends continue the fight to find a cure not only for AT/RT but for all children facing childhood cancer. We encourage every one, no matter what size of donation you give, to help us bring an end to childhood cancer. Together we can make a difference. Together we can save our children. Together we can find a cure.
